IPM Expands Capabilities with Large, High Precision CNC Boring Mill
Milwaukee, WI, January 2, 2018 — In-Place Machining Company is pleased to announce the addition of a Giddings & Lewis PT 1800 Horizontal Boring Mill to our already extensive roster of in-shop machine tools.
Coupled with a CNC controlled rotary table, our PT-1800 offers versatile, high precision, high-speed machining of very large and heavy parts. We can now offer even quicker turnaround in-shop machining services with short lead times to our Forming & Forging, Fossil, Nuclear & Hydro Power Generation, Metals Producing and other industrial and military customers.
In addition to serving the in-shop machining needs of our diverse customer base, IPM’s investment in this start-of-the-art machine tool demonstrates the Company’s commitment to maintaining its technological leadership in the In-Place Machining Company’s on-site field machining industry by dramatically decreasing the time from design to on-site deployment of our precision and highly specialized machining systems and fixtures. It is also an excellent fit with In-Place Machining Company’s other in-shop machining, measurement, and welding capabilities, as well as the material handling infrastructure contained within our 100,000 sq. ft. Milwaukee facility.
