On-Site Line Boring Services
On-Site Line Boring is a field machining operation used to make the centerlines of two or more bores collinear. IPM excels in this service offering due to its experienced technicians and precision field machines.
IPM’s On-Site Line Boring Services
IPM has performed on-site line boring projects as simple as machining one damaged or worn bore with respect to another non-damaged bore that can be completed in under a shift. It can also be extremely complex, requiring extensive engineering layouts, manufacture of multiple custom boring bar systems, large crews, and multiple shifts simultaneously to complete.
Engine Blocks, gearboxes, industrial presses, and hydroelectric turbines all require bore centerlines to be collinear. No matter what industry you are in, if your equipment has moving parts, chances are there are bores that simply must be in line for the machine to operate properly.
